Minebea Intec to showcase innovative industry solutions at PPMA Total Show
Minebea Intec is putting together a broad product package for various industries and application profiles for the PPMA Total Show 2019. In addition to highlights from checkweighing and foreign body detection, the company will also be presenting new products for the plastics processing industry and demonstrate its qualities in the area of customized solutions.
Checkweighing is an important topic for many industries but - especially in the food and pharmaceutical industries – it is even a critical topic to make sure key control points within the packaging lines are checked for the right quality at 100%. With the new dynamic checkweigher Essentus, Minebea Intec is introducing a completely new product that not only offers reliable, precise weight and completeness checks, but is also highly economical due to its combinatorial design. At the PPMA Total Show, Minebea Intec showcases exciting solutions for production lines in the packaging periphery.

With Essentus, users benefit from the proven technology of a leading international manufacturer and also get a single product - with different models that are tailored to the respective needs of the customer: Many users have clearly defined requirements and need a simple and affordable control point on their production line. Dymond 80 X-ray inspection system and Flexus Combi checkweigher: reliable products for inspecting packaged products
The Minebea Intec stand in Hall 5 will also feature other highlights for the food industry: For product inspection, the Dymond 80 X-ray inspection system represents high detection performance for packaged products. Different bandwidths of up to 800 mm offer a high degree of adaptation and can be used suitable for multi-track applications. Typical areas of application are, among others, cartons, boxes, pouches, bags, trays and portion packs that can contain a wide variety of dry or liquid food products. The checkweigher can be used for completeness control and for the optimization of dosing processes. The Dymond 80 is specifically designed for such applications and features high detection sensitivity, hygienic design as well as a wide range of standard functions.
Regarding checkweighing, the Flexus combi checkweigher meets the highest demands: Due to electromagnetic force compensation, the system stands for the highest precision and maximum throughput. The Flexus combi, one of few products in the market, combines the advantages from checkweighing with those of metal detection and offers maximum quality control.
Both the Dymond 80 and the Flexus have been developed according to hygienic design guidelines: this design allows for easy cleaning and inspection, thus saving considerable time and money.
New weighing and detection solutions for the plastics industry
Additionally, Minebea Intec demonstrates its range of solutions for the plastics processing industry with static industrial scales, checkweighers and foreign object detectors, as well as software-solutions, tailored to the respective application. In addition to proven products, Minebea Intec also presents new products for the industry: For instance, the foreign object detector Vistus Freefall, which – as a vertical application - detects foreign objects in the smallest space in the processing of plastic particles thanks to its low installation height.
Visitors can also expect a highlight for the plastics processing industry: the new WK+ checkweigher delivers precise and fast measurement results - thanks to static weighing and a load cell with electromagnetic force compensation that was specifically designed for the plastics processing industry. The product offers fully automatic, trouble-free weighing and, if required, can also be equipped with an ionizer to prevent electrostatic charging.
