Dr. Sommer has been Chief Executive Officer of the Minebea Intec Group and Head of the Intec Business Unit within the MinebeaMitsumi Group since April 2023. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for the overall corporate management and strategy of the Intec Group and, consequently, for ensuring future profitable growth. As CEO, he regards it as his core task to understand the needs of customers, employees, business partners and shareholders, and to reconcile these with one another.

Dr. Sommer joined the company in February 2020 as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and held this position until February 2026. He subsequently also took on the role of Deputy Head of the Business Unit. Prior to this, Dr Sommer worked at the private equity investor Aurelius Group as a member of the Operations Practice. There, he served as Managing Director of the Aurelius portfolio company LD Didactic Group in Hürth. Prior to that, he gained several years’ experience in the automotive industry in various roles and positions of responsibility within the Schaeffler Group. Dr Sommer began his career as a research assistant at university whilst working on his PhD.

Dr. Sommer is married, has four children and lives with his family in the Hamburg area. He spends his free time with his family and friends and enjoys outdoor sports.

Markus Holz-Wollenzin is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Minebea Intec Group. In this role, he shapes the company’s global operational strategy and drives the further development of the value chain in an increasingly digital and interconnected market environment. His aim is to combine operational excellence, innovative strength and customer value to ensure sustainable growth and long-term competitiveness.

Before joining Minebea Intec, Markus Holz-Wollenzin gained many years of international leadership and management experience in industrial companies. In various senior roles, he was responsible for transformation programmes and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the performance, efficiency and competitiveness of global organisations, with a focus on the supply chain.

Markus Holz-Wollenzin lives in the Hamburg metropolitan area. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, playing sport and being out in nature. He particularly values the balance between professional challenges and personal time.

Frank Wieland is Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of the Minebea Intec Group. As a long-standing sales and transformation manager in industrial weighing technology as well as in quality and process optimisation, he has progressed through every stage of his career, from operational sales to the management of a global sales, service and marketing organisation. His focus lies on building strong, trust-based customer relationships and on a deep understanding of international business processes. Another key focus is the consistent strategic alignment of the Business Development, Product Management and Marketing divisions.

Frank Wieland is married and lives in the Göttingen area. In his private life, Frank is all about movement and a spirit of discovery on two wheels: cycling for fitness and motorbike trips for a change of perspective.

Jörg Hoffmann is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Minebea Intec. In his role he supports the Minebea Intec Senior Management in the strategical direction and is responsible for the Integration of Minebea Intec into the MinebeaMitsumi European Organisation.

Mr. Hoffmann, graduated in Mechanical Engineering, has been with MinenbeaMitsumi since 1994, when he started working for PMDM as a Process Engineer. From there he took over different positions within the company before he became Deputy Head of Spindle BU in the MinebeaMitsumi Group and CEO of PMDM/MTCE in 2005. In subsequent years he acted as Head of EMT BU and Excecutive Officer of MinebeaMitsumi Inc. Since 2019 he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Minebea Intec and continues in several different roles within the MinebeaMitsumi Group.
 
Jörg Hoffmann is convinced that Minebea Intec as a member of the MinebeaMitsumi Group with access to a global network of manufacturing, R&D and sales sites benefits from a financially healthy mother company that is very strong in manufacuring with factories all over the globe and is well equipped to compete in the market. 

Jörg Hoffmann is married and has two children. His very limited free time he usually spends with his family. As both his kids are horseback riders they spend a lot of time on horse jumping tournaments or in the stable with the horses. In wintertime the family loves to go skiing.
