Minebea Intec presents new, innovative weighing and inspection solutions at Empack 2024 Maximum product safety and efficiency
Minebea Intec, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of weighing and inspection technology, will be presenting new products at Empack 2024 in Gorinchem from 09-11th April (stand G144). The focus will be on the new Metal Detector Mitus® as well as a newly developed user interface for checkweighers.
The highlight at the Minebea Intec stand will be the new Mitus® metal detector with the most innovative MiWave technology. This technology enables highly precise detection of foreign objects even with the largest product effects. Reliable metal detection devices in the food industry are characterised by the fact that they compensate for product effects, i.e. the influence of the product itself on the electromagnetic field. The Mitus® metal detector meets this challenge with MiWave technology. With MiWave, a multitude of frequencies are modulated onto the transmitted signal, which are then separated and separately evaluated by an intelligent algorithm. With the help of this division into several signals, the products can be inspected from several perspectives. Due to this significantly increased information content, high search sensitivities can be achieved despite large product effects. In addition, this technology is less susceptible to fluctuations - such as temperature changes or dew processes. The result for food manufacturers: maximum product safety and highest output.
The Mitus® metal detector is available in standard sizes as a rectangular, round or compact detection coil, so that it can be integrated into production facilities even where space is limited. In this way, the Mitus® can also be easily combined with additional weighing technology if required. "With the Mitus® we offer users a premium solution for metal detection," says Linus Dellweg, Global Product Manager at Minebea Intec. "Users can rely on our high quality 'Made in Germany'."
New interface for checkweighers makes production lines more efficient
Another highlight on the exhibition stand will be a new user interface for checkweighers. The interface features intuitive operation and therefore offers maximum user friendliness. Checkweighers can be easily configured, controlled, tested and audited with the interface. Regardless of whether users are programming a new product, adjusting line parameters or defining a batch record, the interface simplifies work and makes it more efficient. The operator terminal displays the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other statistics based on current weighing results. There are various log functions for audits. The operator terminal is fully MID certified with Minebea Intec weighing technology.
Other products not to be missed
The stand will also showcase the X-ray Inspection System Dymond which is one of the various products from Minebea Intec helping manufacturers to minimize the risk of contaminations inside their products. It is also one of the key products that helps drive automation within food production and manufacturing. The X-ray inspection system Dymond reliably detects foreign objects, including in desserts, salad mixes or ready-made meals. At the same time, Dymond helps to check important quality attributes, such as mass, filling levels, completeness and integrity. The Dymond series sets a standard in X-ray inspection for food with crystal-clear X-ray images, a high degree of accuracy and low energy costs – all available in four different machine sizes.
Minebea Intec will also be exhibiting a selection of high-precision industrial scales at its stand, which, among other things, make checking, dosing and picking in your production more efficient and impress with their robustness, reliability and durability.
